6. Sales of CDs - the past five years

6.Investigate the how the sales of CDs have changed in the last five years. Look at how artists are now making most of their money.


CDs have always been a very popular product to listen to your music via, ever since they came out. Although in the past five years CD sales have increasingly dropped due to the market of Internet downloading. It is now easier, and faster, to click a button a download your new favourite track, legally or illegally. Now thanks to to sites such as youtube and spotify, it is simple and easy to listen to music over and over again free of charge. This dramatically effects artists as they do not make a profit from there music. Itunes helps this by charging for downloads, although this does not support the sales of CDs.

Rough Edit changes

After contemplating over my first rough draft I have decided to slightly change my video. I feel that the first draft was too much like a short clip rather than a music video and I would prefer it to be more arty and abstract. To do this I have muddled up some of the footage instead of showing it in a linear sequence. I have also edited scenes to overlap, this creates strange illusions and enhances the abstract style and atmosphere.

5. Taking a published digipak - photoshop

I chose Rihannas digipak for her album 'Loud', and copied as well as I could on photoshop.
